The updated 2018 BMW i8 Coupe has been revealed ahead of the 2018 Detroit motor show.

It features a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo engine developing 170kW of power and 320Nm of torque, as well as a 105kW electric motor for a combined power output of 275kW.

The coupe can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds, with a limited top speed of 250km/h and in electric mode the driving range is rated at 55km, with top speed of 120km/h.
