Here’s what we took away from FP3!
• Ferrari Dominate in Slow Third Session:
Vettel and Raikkonen have largely controlled the third session of practice with an emphasis on intermediate tyre testing. Should qualifying be in wet conditions, this third session will be of much use to the field who tested wets/intermediates.
• Minimal Laps:
This practice session is largely different to the previous two, largely due to the conditions. No team reached above 20 laps of testing, with Force India opting to hardly participate in the session, avoiding risk.
• Valtteri Carries the Brunt of Testing for Mercedes:
Hamilton completed half the amount of laps compared to Bottas, with the Finnish native testing a variety of tyres compared to Lewis’ 1 tyre choice.
