Shane van Gisbergen takes the double winning both race 1 and 2 of the season opener for the Supercars Championship! Van Gisbergen’s Red Bull Holden Racing teammate and last year’s champion, Jamie Whincup, failed to finish a Supercars race for the first time in 136 races.

It was a wild weekend in front of a record 85,000+ crowd as van Gisbergen left the weekend with a 32-point lead in the championship.
