Elon Musk made a surprise reveal of the new Tesla Roadster today, while at the reveal of their new electric truck.
Musk claims the car will be the fastest production car ever made, with the base model reaching 60mph (0-96km/h) in 1.9 seconds! Top speed was not confirmed however it was implied that it would be โabove 250 mphโ (402km/h).
The concept was pitched as a four-seater, with a detachable roof, all-wheel drive with a 200kWh battery pack and a 1000km range per charge.
US pricing will be $200,000 for the base car, and $250,000 for the Founders Series with only 1000 of this version being made.
