The Toyota Fortuner range has been updated with a bunch of new features and slashed prices!

The base model, the GX, has been reduced by $5400, and now features 17-inch alloy wheels and rear parking sensors along with the already-included rear-view camera fabric trim, projector headlights, LED tail-lights, bluetooth, a six-speaker sound system, three 12V outlets, a multi-function steering wheel, and an air-conditioned cool box.

The next model, the GXL, will now be around $5500 cheaper. New features include satellite navigation, Toyota Link app compatibility and digital radio. This is on top of the existing keyless entry and start, fog-lights, privacy glass and hill descent control.

The top of the range Crusade will get a price reduction of $5000. The flagship model adds an 11-speaker JBL audio system, heated eight-way power-adjustable front seats, and LED fog-lights. Other equipment includes a leather-accented interior in โ€˜fawnโ€™ or dark brown, power tailgate, climate control, bi-LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels including a full-size spare, and a 220V socket.

The Fortuner keeps the 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel with outputs of 130kW and 450Nm. Fuel use rated at 7.8L/100km with the six-speed manual and 8.6L/100km with the six-speed auto. Max towing capacity is unchanged at 3000kg for the manual and 2800kg for the automatic.

2018 Toyota Fortuner pricing starts from 42,590 for the GX, $47,590 for the GXL and $56,990 for the Crusade.
