The 2017 Audi SQ5 has been revealed at the Detroit Motor Show with a new petrol engine! Powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6, the new SQ5 will have 260kW of power and 500Nm of torque and accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.4 seconds. Fuel consumption is also rated at 8.3L/100km.

While these figures are not nearly as enticing as the previous SQ5 diesel which could sprint to 100 in 5.1 seconds and boast 6.8L/100km fuel economy, the removal of the diesel engine is sure to open up the market to all those purists out there. Along with Audi’s Quattro All-Wheel-Drive system, eight-speed auto and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit display, the new SQ5 is sure to make a splash in the luxury SUV market.
